The one-world church made a local appearance in Omsk, Russia last year, in an interfaith meeting attended by Lutherans, Catholics, Baptists, Adventists, and Pentecostals. The meeting was held September 24, 2011, in the Lutheran Church. The news report sent to me by a missionary stated, “We are all so different, but united in our God and the Lord Jesus Christ. The evening ended with applause for the glory of our God!” This is a great deception. It is blind emotional mysticism. While they feel deeply that they are glorifying God and they encourage one another in this feeling, in the light of God’s Word they are actually rebels to the truth and to the cause of Christ.
They are deceived by the master deceiver, who transforms himself into an angel of light and whose ministers transform themselves into the ministers of righteousness (2 Corinthians 11:13-15). God commands His people to earnestly contend for the once-delivered New Testament faith and to mark and avoid those who teach heresies (Jude 3; Romans 16:17). We are to turn away from those who have a form of godliness but deny the power thereof, such as the supernatural new birth and the infallibly-inspired, all-sufficient Bible (2 Timothy 3:5). Not surprisingly, the ecumenical service had a Christian rock praise band. Contemporary worship music is one of the major forces at play in creating the apostate one-world church, and those who are messing with it are not wise.
