“A Christian-owned bed and breakfast establishment in Hawaii has been ordered to accommodate homosexuals who seek lodging for the night following a ruling by the First Circuit Court. Phyllis Young of Aloha Bed and Breakfast in Honolulu was sued in 2011 by two lesbian women from California, who claimed that Young violated Hawaii’s discrimination law by denying them a bed. Diane Cervelli and Taeko Bufford patronized the bed and breakfast in 2007 while visiting a friend in the area, and requested a room. According to reports, when Cervelli noted that the two only needed one bed, Young asked if the women were lesbians. When Cervelli admitted that it was indeed the case, Young explained that she did not feel comfortable with the arrangement because of her Christian beliefs. The women then reported the matter to the Hawaii Civil Rights Commission, who then came knocking at Young’s residence. According to the Commission’s report, Young told investigators that her convictions did not permit her to accommodate the women, and that homosexual behavior is a ‘detestable’ practice that ‘defiles our land.’ The Commission later joined the lawsuit, which was filed by LAMBDA, a homosexual legal organization, on behalf of Cervelli and Bufford. ‘We just want to be treated like everyone else,’ Bufford told reporters following the filing of the suit. ‘It’s not about changing her beliefs or changing her religion, it’s about accepting us like you’re accepting any other client that comes in [the door].’ Now, a judge in the First Circuit of Hawaii has ruled that Young violated Hawaii’s public accommodations law, which states that businesses may not ‘deny, or attempt to deny, a person the full and equal enjoyment of the goods, services, facilities, privileges, advantages, and accommodations of a place of public accommodation on the basis of race, gender, including gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, color, religion, ancestry, or disability.’ ... attorney Stephen Crampton with Liberty Counsel told Christian News Network that if the Supreme Court endorses homosexual ‘marriage’ in June, cases such as these will become more commonplace. ‘Not only will they not tolerate religious folks saying no to homosexuals, not only will they find or run out of business or force the little businesses to bow the knee, they will seek them out and target them,’ he said.”

“And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.”
What do professional meteorologists think about claims that the Earth is undergoing a greenhouse effect because of man’s activities? Scientific opinion is growing that there is nothing to the idea that the Earth is either warming or in danger of warming under the proposed influence of the greenhouse effect. More in the scientific community are also becoming increasingly outspoken in their opposition to the false science used to support the idea that man’s activities are causing the Earth to become warmer.
In one Gallup poll a cross-section of members of the American Geophysical Union and the American Meteorological Society were interviewed. Did these scientists, who should know better than anyone else, think that the greenhouse effect is something to fear? According to the poll, less than half – 41 percent – thought that there is scientific evidence for global warming. However, 70 percent thought that the scientific work supporting greenhouse conclusions is “fair to poor.” So it is not true that all scientists accept the idea that greenhouse warming is going on. Less than half of the professional meteorologists believe it’s happening. And most suspect the quality of the scientific work supporting ideas about greenhouse warming.
While Christians favor good stewardship of our resources, we need not fear the destruction of our planet, as do the unbelievers. Christ clearly tells us that Christians will be here to greet Him when He returns.

“The final witness against a notorious Philadelphia abortionist who is facing multiple murder charges took the stand in court today, outlining to the jury that she saw at least 10 babies breathing before being killed, and as many as 25. Kareema Cross stated that she was so concerned by what she saw at Kermit Gosnell’s Women’s Medical Society that she took photographs and contacted authorities to express her concerns. Her testimony correlated with that of her co-workers, as she told the jury that she saw a newborn flinch his or her arm before employee Lynda Williams snipped the baby’s spinal cord. ... She told jurors that Gosnell took one of the late-term babies that was born alive and placed him in a container the size of a shoe box. As the abortionist was carrying the box to the table the baby ‘pulled in its arms’ and then also pulled in its legs ‘to fit itself into the box.’ ‘The doctor then cut the back of the baby’s neck,’ Cross said, adding that Gosnell joked that the baby could have ‘walked to the store and the bus stop.’... As previously reported, abortionist Kermit Gosnell, 72, was taken into custody in 2011 following an investigation into his practice, called the Women’s Medical Society. Investigators had not initially been aware that Gosnell was running a late-term abortion facility, but visited the location over suspicions about the illegal sale of controlled substances. Philadelphia District Attorney Seth Williams, who leveled the charges against the abortionist, described Gosnell’s operation two years ago as a ‘House of Horrors.’... He now faces seven counts of first-degree murder--the most severe charge, which signifies that the acts were premeditated.”

“I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.”
Sometimes information can be so simplified that it becomes deceiving. All of us have heard that the human body is made up of only a few dollars worth of chemicals. However, that commonly repeated statement doesn’t reflect what’s really in the human body.
Take the complex sugar called hyaluronic acid. This sugar, found in the bodies of all animals and man, is the most effective lubricant known. It is also elastic, which means that it can absorb shock and return to its original shape. Hyaluronic acid lubricates your joints. And it protects delicate tissues in your eyes.
Hyaluronic acid is added to some cosmetics, skin moisturizers and shaving creams. It’s also used in eye surgery to help the eye keep its shape and to protect eye tissues. The problem is, the hyaluronic acid used in eye surgery costs millions of dollars per pound. Although only a couple of hundred dollars worth is needed, this high cost prevents another medical use for this amazing substance. Medical researchers believe that lubricating arthritic joints with hyaluronic acid would restore lubrication and ease the causes of joint pain. Research continues on less expensive methods for making hyaluronic acid.
When people forget how fearfully and wonderfully God has created us, it’s easy to reduce the wonders of the value of the human body to a few dollars worth of chemicals. Surely this is not the thankless attitude we should express to others.

I have many friends in the ministry, and they come from widely divergent backgrounds and schools. They are Christ-centered rather than man- and human-institution centered. They are Bible-bound rather than tradition bound. It encourages me that men who graduate from various institutions can learn to think for themselves on the authority of God’s Word and by the wisdom of the indwelling Christ and that we do not have to follow a crowd. I thank the Lord for the good things that I learned at Tennessee Temple in the 1970s, but I also thank the Lord for the things God has taught me by His Word that forced me to reject some of the things I was taught and to modify others. I could respect Temple founder Lee Roberson as a man of God without being a blind loyalist in an idolatrous way. This is my challenge to the graduates of and current students of any Bible college. Give men the honor they are due and submit in a godly manner to pastoral authority, but make Christ your only Master and the Bible your ultimate authority. Maintain a godly attitude as opposed to a hyper-critical one, but be a true Berean and “prove all things.” Include Psalm 119:128; Acts 17:11; 1 Thessalonians 5:20-21 among your life verses. One young preacher mocked me in his blog by saying, “I am NOT Cloud’s Timothy.” (He was referring to my monthly magazine which is called O Timothy.) The Lord knows that I have never wanted anyone to be my Timothy! I want us all to be the Lord’s Timothys, and this has always been the theme of my ministry. “Prove all things; hold fast that which is good” (1 Th. 5:21).

Since the early 1990s, Rush Limbaugh has led the way for an entire troop of conservative commentators on radio and television, and though it is refreshing to hear voices that are not as “liberal” as the mainstream media such as CNN and NBC and MSNBC, God’s people must not forget that we are pilgrims in a strange world and that these conservatives are not friends at a spiritual level. Though “conservative” in some ways, they are part of the world system and they don’t understand the fundamental spiritual issues at work in the world. Bill O’Reilly, Sean Hannity, Laura Ingraham, Hugh Hewitt, Carson Daly, Stephen Colbert, Morton Downey Jr., Dennis Miller, Tim Russert are Roman Catholics. John Ziegler is a “recovering Roman Catholic” who labels himself an agnostic. Ann Coulter speaks at homosexual conferences and lashes out viciously at those who have the audacity to reprove her for this. Michael Medved, Mark Levin, Dennis Prager, Michael Savage, Laura Schlesinger are Jews who deny that Jesus is the Christ. Fox News is a cable news channel owned by a pornography distributor that promotes “conservative” politics in the midst of a massive dose of the fleshly pop culture, doubtless with the motive of amassing more riches. Glenn Beck is a New Age Mormon who believes man can be the divine “I Am” and says homosexual marriage is not a problem for America.

FOX News is no friend of the truth, and its objective is more to entertain and make money than it is to provide substantive news. FOX News is owned by Rupert Murdock, one of the biggest purveyors of filth entertainment and one of the biggest destroyers of biblical morality, on earth. True, FOX News is more “conservative” than CNN or MSNBC, but FOX News is not a friend of truth, because the proper definition of truth is Jesus Christ and the Bible (John 14:6; 17:17). Not even FOX’s most conservative people, such as Bill O’Reilly and Sean Hannity, are friends of God’s infallible Word. If you watch FOX News much you will hear every sort of sorry humanistic philosophy. With very few exceptions, FOX News pundits push the same moral relativism that CNN pushes. Do they oppose the homosexual agenda on biblical moral grounds? No, in fact, Bill O’Reilly recently mocked such people as “Bible thumpers.” Do they expose the godless lies of Darwinism? Those are two of the greatest secular enemies that Bible believers face today, but FOX News is essentially mute in the face of this vicious onslaught. If you watch FOX News you will also be bombarded with the filthy pop culture. On that line they worship Hollywood and Nashville as fervently as CNN or MSNBC. One of my readers wrote, “It was only on deputation when we had more access to TV’s and found when we turned them on, hours would easily be wasted, even just watching FOX News. Not to mention having to continually turn the commercials off. It got so annoying you either wanted to just leave it alone and not turn it off or miss something if you did turn it off. Unfortunately, leaving it on would win, and being aware of this we solidified in our minds we would not have a TV in our home, or cable for that matter. Both the programming and the commercials are written by non-Christians who are trying to influence others with their pagan humanistic philosophies and lifestyles. Cheating, illicit [sexual activity], drugs, homosexuality, teens in adult situations, Darwinism, cussing, and all kinds of things Christians shouldn't be setting before their eyes. Numerous times, even on ‘conservative’ FOX News, they had a story on prostitutes and actually showed a video of pole dancers.” That reader has it right.
