Self-esteem guru Robert Schuller’s 40-acre Crystal Cathedral property has been sold to the Roman Catholic Diocese of Orange County for $57 million. The landmark auditorium, which is made of 10,000 panes of glass, will become a Catholic cathedral after the present congregation vacates the property in three years or less. Carol Milner, Schuller’s daughter, said, “I’m really pleased to know that this campus is likely for at least decades, if not centuries, to be kept as a sacred place of worship” (“Crystal Cathedral to Be Sold,” FoxNews, Nov. 18, 2011). Robert Schuller said, “It is time for all believers not to focus on differences, but on respect and appreciation for our common goals” (Christian Post, Feb. 4, 2012). Indeed, Schuller and the RCC have the common goal of building the one-world church. This is a fitting end to a ministry whose boat has long been floating down the river of end-time apostasy toward Rome.
