“The Norwegian news portal VG Nett is reporting that a Muslim terrorist group, Ansar al-Sunna, is threatening that if a section of the nation’s capitol isn’t transformed into a sharia-compliant Muslim nation, an attack rivaling 9/11 will be launched upon the Scandinavian nation. ... As translated by Michael Laudahn: ‘If Norwegian soldiers can take planes to Afghanistan, then Osama and Mohammed can also take planes to Norway ... This is not a threat, only the words of truth. The words of justice. ... We do not want to be a part of Norwegian society. And we do not consider it necessary either to move away from Norway, because we were born and grew up here. And Allah’s earth belongs to everybody. But let Grønland become ours. Bar this city quarter and let us control it the way we wish to do it. ... We do not wish to live together with dirty beasts like you.’”

1 Peter 2:15-16
"For so is the will of God, that with well doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men: as free, and not using your liberty for a cloke of maliciousness, but as the servants of God."

I remember reading in grade school that the human appendix is a useless organ. My textbook said that scientists thought that the appendix was once used to help digest the tree bark that our supposed ape-like ancestors ate. Does the human body have "extra" parts? Do we have organs that we no longer use because we have evolved away from needing them?

Atheists have argued that our "useless" organs prove that we weren't created. No Creator, they said, would make useless organs that can threaten our health. Creationists responded that since our knowledge of the human body is incomplete, we cannot say that an organ is useless simply because we are ignorant of its job.

In the 1890s, scientists said that the human body has about 180 organs that are useless leftovers of our past evolution. As a result, doctors used to be quick to remove a child's tonsils. Today, we know that our tonsils have several jobs and are an important part of our immune system. Our appendix has been found to serve as a backup for other organs. If your spleen is damaged, your appendix will take over some of its functions. Wisdom teeth are important in chewing food, especially when the diet includes more coarse materials.

The argument over whether we have extra parts left over from evolution has been completely won by creationists. Today, science recognizes that we have no useless leftovers from evolution.

The American Atheists have filed a lawsuit demanding that the steel cross at the 9/11 museum be removed, as it violates the U.S. Constitution and is causing them “depression, headaches, anxiety, and mental pain and anguish” (“Despite Atheists’ Absurd Claims,” American Center for Law and Justice, Aug. 17, 2012). The Ground Zero Cross is composed of a surviving crossbeam from the Twin Towers and is displayed as one of 800 artifacts. The 9/11 museum is defending the display, arguing that the cross became a symbol of hope to many during the recovery effort, and “there is no legal authority for the proposition that a museum is prohibited from displaying an item with historical, cultural or artistic significance merely because that item also has religious significance.”

Isaiah 45:12
"I have made the earth, and created man upon it: I, even my hands, have stretched out the heavens, and all their host have I commanded."

Would the early Indian settlers in North America have been able to understand modern twentieth-century America? Beneath the peat deposits of Windover Pond in Titusville, Florida, scientists are finding the bodies and possessions of Indians who lived in Florida thousands of years ago.

The bones of almost 100 individuals have been found buried in the peat at the deepest part of the pond. Each was buried in a near-fetal position, with feet toward the east and head toward the west. Each body lay on its left side, facing north. Children were buried with tools and jewelry. To the surprise of scientists, each burial shows clear evidence of ritual and knowledge of the compass points. Textiles found at the site convinced scientists that this ancient society was much more advanced than they had ever expected.

Scientists also marveled at the discovery of a young person who had a crippling spine disorder. The fact that the child lived 15 or more years illustrated that this was not a survival-of-the-fittest type of society.

We who know that the Creator made man fully human from the start are not surprised to see the same humanity in ancient man as we know today. These people would have watched the space shuttle fly off into space with a universal human curiosity and desire to know more about the new frontier of space. Man has always been man because we were made that way by our Creator.
